The Epiphany Project is an Arizona non-profit founded in 2020 born out of the idea that the promotion of self-efficacy and growth creates protective factors against trauma and stress.
Richard Brubaker is a social worker, doctoral candidate, and Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC). He has a history of working with children and families who have experienced trauma in their lives. He has a background in a number of local children's agencies in the valley including Arizona's Children Association, Child Help, Valle del Sol, and Touchstone Behavioral Health.
Most recently Richard has become and advocate of trauma-informed care which lead to a doctorate that connects our physical and mental health to address the whole person. Richard is a proponent of mindfulness and utilizes EMDR, Trauma-focused CBT, Humanistic sandtray therapy in clinical practice.
Melissa is a licensed clinical social worker and doctor of behavioral health. She is dedicated to helping people feel better in all aspects of their lives. I have over 20 years experience working with children, adults, and families and am certified in EMDR and Sand Tray Therapy. She also provides supervision to those seeking clinical licensure.
Ashley Brubaker is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and NAPA/UC Davis Infant Parent Mental Health fellow. She received certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and is currently working toward her IBCLC through the ASU Academy of Lactation program. In addition to this she is also level 2 trained in EMDR as well as Newborn Behavioral Observation systems (NBO) trained.
She currently works as a Behavioral Health Consultant with Canyon Pediatrics & Family. She works collaboratively with primary care providers integrating behavioral health consultation along with physical wellness services to holistically address the overall physical and social/ emotional health of young children and their parents in the primary care setting.
Carly Wells is the WIC Director and Registered Dietitian for the Canyon WIC program. She has worked for WIC for about 8 years total and also has worked as an outpatient Clinical Dietitian. She has a passion working with families of young children to reach their health and nutrition goals. She is a Certified Lactation Specialist and counsels women in breastfeeding. She can relate to the busy mom life and has 3 young kids of her own. Before kids, she was an avid runner and coached high school track and provided sports nutrition counseling for young athletes.
